• Who is Subbaramaiah

He is a great Mahatma (Sadguru) who has served two great Mahatmas, as praised by Sri Ekkirala Bharadwaja Master. The same ‘Pesala Subbaramaiah’ fondly called as ‘SIR’ by his devotees is the founder of ‘Sai Master Seva Trust’. Even after his MahaSamadhi in 2017, the manner in which he runs this trust and protects his devotees by guiding them in the righteous path is amazing. Sadhguru Subbaramaiah (SIR)

Sri Subbaramaiah (SIR) began life as a devoted schoolteacher, husband, and father, living an ordinary family-centered existence. His spiritual transformation was sparked by a land dispute conflict, which led him to seek solitude in a Shiva temple, meditate on Dharma, and cry for God. Inspired by scriptures and guided by Sri Bharadwaja Master, he embraced a life of discipline and service. Following his Master’s advice, he surrendered to Bhagawan Sri Venkaiah Swamy, strictly adhering to Swamy’s instructions—renouncing material assets, settling permanently in Golagamudi, living on austere food (without Oil, Salt, Spice or Sour), and dedicating every moment to meditation, writing, and satsang.

Through unwavering discipline, SIR gradually transformed into a Divine presence, manifesting Leelas that revealed His omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. His legacy extended into service: he built Sri Sai Master Nilayam for devotees, founded Sai Master Seva Trust to serve humanity, and established Sri Sai Master Vidyalayam, a free English-medium school.

On 9th June 2017, he attained Maha Samadhi, and his resting place – “Sadhguru Subbaramaiah Sir Brundavanamu”, continues to radiate his Divine force, blessing devotees and sustaining the trust’s activities even today.
